LAPD Offers $50,000 in Slaying of Transgender Woman Because It's The Politically Correct Thing To Do

TheRoot.com:
The last time anyone saw Aniya Knee Parker was when she was picked up on surveillance video about 3 a.m. on Oct. 2 on a street corner in East Hollywood, Calif. That’s when she was engaged in a struggle with three men over her purse and then shot dead as she tried to run away, police say, according to Los Angeles Times.

Now the Los Angeles Police Department is offering $50,000 to tipsters who help lead to the arrest of the assailants, the paper says.

“This is one of those unfortunate crimes that we’re going to solve with the community’s help,” LAPD Division Capt. Brian Pratt said during a press conference Friday at City Hall, the paper writes.
Parker, 47, who was transgender, may also have been targeted because of her identity, Christopher Argyros, manager of the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Anti-Violence Project, told the Times, saying that transgender people are often victims of violence.

“We believe it is very possibly Ms. Parker was targeted because of her identity,” Argyros said to the paper. He said Los Angeles is home to one of the largest transgender communities in the U.S., whose members are often on alert.
Can't imagine them offering $50,000 for a normal, missing, black woman. But hey that's the price you pay when you allow the same Godless, white liberals you worship to manipulate you and treat you like second-class miscreants.

Adam Carolla: Liberals Have Turned Conservatism into a Pejorative

Mediaite.com:
Liberals have taken over the word “conservative” and turned it into a pejorative, says comedian and radio host Adam Carolla.

In the latest episode of The Adam & Dr. Drew Show, Carolla fielded a caller’s question about how, in the past year, it seems as though the actor has had much more to say about politics than in years past.

“It’s not a political stance; it’s a life stance,” Carolla said. “I understand how life works. You know why? I’ve done it.” He added: “I know that the path to success is a bunch of hard work and that is about it. And we can all get to that or we can call me whatever you want to call me.”

However, the comedian claimed that such views have now been branded a certain way (Transcript via RCP):
It’s bizarre and that’s what we have turned it into. But also, it’s the left turning conservatism into a pejorative, number one. Being conservative didn’t used to be a pejorative in any stretch of the imagination. Being a conservative with your money was being prudent. Being conservative as it pertains to work or investments or even at the poker table it was sort of prudent. Conservative meant prudent; it was not a pejorative.
The left has taken over the word conservative and turned it into a pejorative. So it’s like, “Oh, you’re a conservative?” They’ve done a wonderful smear campaign.
“Oh, are you a conservative?” “Yes, I’m a conservative.” “Oh, great. You hate women. You hate blacks. You hate all cultures. You love people’s money. You hate poor people.”
“No, no. I just want to focus on education. I want to focus on hard work. I want to focus on being motivated and getting ahead in a country that made for that ethic…”
Now, it’s weird that I can be conservative and never talk about religion. Because conservatives are a bunch of Bible-thumping, you know, brainwashed, you know, they believe the earth is 1,000 years old. How come I’m not religious? I’m an atheist. See, they just pick and choose whatever they want.

Al Michaels: Washington Redskins Name Change Talk Is 'Nuts'

Finally, a sports journalist refusing to bow down to the politically-correct geniuses/hypocrites on the Left. And why doesn't hardly anyone mention that all those 50 senators calling for the Redskins to change their name just happen to be Democrats?:
Longtime play-by-play announcer Al Michaels called the heated debate over the Washington Redskins' team name "nuts," and feels team owner Dan Snyder isn't likely to bow to public pressure.
"It seems to me as if he is going to hold on," Michaels told the "Jim Rome on Showtime" program this week, according to The Washington Post.

"I mean all of a sudden — I mean, for 70-some-odd years this was a zero issue, and then it became an issue. I understand we live in this politically correct environment. It's crazier than ever; you know, senators want to weigh in on this, like there's nothing better to do in Congress. This becomes a big issue. I mean, I just think it's nuts. And I do know, I've talked to Snyder about it — not recently but when we were in Washington last year — and he basically said 'over my dead body.'"

The push to change the Redskins' name has raged for some time. Last month, 50 United States senators sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell asking him to act and argued that the name was a racist slur to Native Americans.

Team President Bruce Allen responded to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a few days later.

"Our use of 'Redskins' as the name of our football team for more than 80 years has always been respectful of and shown reverence toward the proud legacy and traditions of Native Americans," Allen wrote in a letter that was released by the team.
Allen's response cites research that "Redskins originated as a Native American expression of solidarity," and explained that the logo was designed by Native American leaders.
