Charlie Hebdo Magazine Will Continue To Go Out Of Its Way To Offend Muslims and All Religions In General

Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical magazine that was attacked by Islamic militants last week, will publish a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad on the cover of its next issue, according to Liberation, a newspaper that is helping the magazine continue operations. 

The picture, drawn by the staff cartoonist known as Luz, and published online Monday by Liberation, of course risks further enraging fundamentalist Muslims. 

It depicts a bug-eyed Muhammad holding a sign that says "Je Suis Charlie," the now-popular phrase that connotes solidarity with the magazine, and with the principles of free speech that its brand of humor represents. 

Under the figure of Mohammed are the words, "All is forgiven." The normal run for Charlie Hebdo magazine was previously about 50,000 copies, only in French — but the new issue will have a 3 million-copy run, in 16 languages. 

There's a big difference between "brave" and sheer stupidity.

9-Year-Old Girl Loses Control of Uzi, Kills Shooting Instructor

Charles Vacca, a 39-year-old shooting instructor in Las Vegas, died last night after being accidentally shot in the head by a 9-year-old girl wielding a Uzi for the first time.

The New Jersey girl, who was visiting the Bullets and Burgers gun range with her parents, was being taught to shoot an Uzi in single-shot mode before the instructor allowed her to shoot the gun in “fully automatic” mode, according to the Review-Journal. The tiny girl quickly “lost control of the Uzi as it raised up above her head” and accidentally fired an unknown number of shots at Vacca’s head. He died soon after being airlifted to a local hospital.

While the girl won’t face charges, the range won’t have to deal with citations or charges, “as the shooting range is a licensed and legal operation.” It’s also a range that promises burgers, .50 caliber guns, and the chance to ride in an ATV. 

Let's wait for the gun advocates to reason this one and tell why a 9-year-old girl should be allowed to learn how to shoot Uzi (or any gun for that matter).

Ohio Court Forbids Deadbeat Dad From Having More Kids

Asim Taylor owes about $100,000 in child support, and an appeals court in Ohio has upheld an unusual sentence meant to make sure that bill doesn't grow: Justices reaffirmed that the Elyria man can't have any more kids until he pays up, reports the local Chronicle-Telegram.

That means Taylor, who is in his mid-30s and has fathered four children, could go to jail if he impregnates someone during the five years he's on probation, 19 Action News reports. He plans to appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court on the grounds that he has a constitutional right to procreate, says his attorney.

The appeals court didn't address the legal merits of the original 2013 court order, saying it didn't have the necessary information—specifically a pre-sentencing report — to do so, reports AP. 

But one of the three judges wrote a separate opinion that backed up the reasoning. "Where, as here, the defendant has demonstrated a long-term refusal to support multiple children by multiple women notwithstanding his ability to work and contribute something for their care, an anti-procreation condition is reasonably related to future criminality."
